CMS
A Content Management System (CMS) is nothing else than a data base system with a separate user-interface, taking care that your site can be dynamic and interactive: information can be modified or updated quickly and easy.

Through an intuitive user-interface you can modify pages yourself at any time. You do not need to possess knowledge of HTML to perform this. You are able to administrate your site from any location you prefer with an internet connection, using the standard browser you are used to.

Secured access, with different user levels and authoritisations, controls who sees what, who is allowed to change a document, who has administrative authorisation and much more.

If you have a web site without a CMS, you know how much effort an update of your site may cost. As long as you are the only one working on the site and it is relatively small, this does not need to be a problem. It may be organised differently however. For larger web sites, sites needing news updates regularly or where several different employees need to contribute to, a CMS is the only efficient solution.
